It's Finally Happening

So much has happened since I got engaged. We had so many obstacles, many we don't even speak about. Safe to say, it's finally happening.

Your wedding day is the most cherished moment of your lives. It's a day I promise you won't ever forget. It's that one day for the bride to look her very best, a day you will always have in your hearts.

I promised myself that my wedding day is going to be exactly how I envisioned it. I wanted no restrictions. Safe to say, it's finally happening.

So many setbacks, so many hiccups, but I am so grateful that we are still able to plan our wedding and with high hopes, execute our plans with our loved ones.

Planning Our Wedding

A wedding is one of the most expensive life event you will probably ever take on in life. Most persons would say they want a small wedding to minimize cost, but it's easy to get so caught up you might surpass your budget.

One of the bitter sweet thing in planning a wedding is managing your guest list. Imagine you want to add everybody but honey, you can't feed everybody ! The guest list will have you sweating. You might have to cut close friends, family and even close family friends just to stay within your budget, or trying to tell persons that NO, you may not take a plus one.

Venue

Venue hunting was a huge headache for us. There's always that one thing that will just tick you off at one venue so you try to hunt for another, and the cycle continues. For us, we wanted to have an open concept. We wanted no restrictions. We wanted to have our own little freestyle with our decor, etc. Covid made that a bit hard for us so this was also a major setback. Safe to say, it's finally happening.

Theme

I won't say what our concept is until after the wedding but we knew exactly what we wanted. We knew how we wanted to have our reception set up, we knew what kind of ambiance we want to set for our guests and well as ourselves. This part of the planning wasn't a task. We totally shared the same sentiments towards this. Let's just say, our wedding won't have that traditional wedding vibe.

We are over the moon and totally excited about this day to come. We look forward to spending the rest of our lives together, humping legally, rasing our daughter, having more family adventures, with God in the midst of it all.
