"Embracing the New Decade: Navigating the Milestone of Turning 30"
I haven't been here for quite a while. I seriously need to dust my blog off and get some serious writing done. Don't you think?
So many things have happened since my last blog but your girl has reached a milestone. I am 30 years old. That felt remarkably weird to type. Imagine someone asking me my age and I have to think about it before replying. "Hey, I am 30 years old." Whaaaaat??? When did that happen? When did I get here?
I am still trying to get past the fact that I am a whole mother. Just the other day I was 10, having my first birthday party. Now, I am planning birthday parties for my child. That's crazy!
Every birthday feels somewhat surreal because you're getting older but I mean, '30' always seemed so far away and um......so old. Ha, but now that I am actually at that age, I feel anything but old.
I remember how excited I was for my birthday and a coworker was in absolute shock that I was happy about turning 30. Yes, that was the case but I was also happy and excited for yet another life celebration. I mean, we can't escape being old, we just have to embrace it.
If you ask me, I am a hot 30-year-old woman.
At this young age, I still don't have a clear vision of where I want to be. Yes, I said young. Some people already know they want to live in the big city, or the countryside, or just travel the world. I would like to try it all if I had the chance and that's okay.
Is it in writing that you have to have a clearly defined vision of what your life should look like by 30? Is it in writing that you have to own a home, and a car, be married, settled, and have kids by 30? By then you will realize that life is not much about certainty, according to Blissful Mind, but the feeling of being less concerned with what other people think you're supposed to be doing.
I get through life by celebrating ME and everything I have accomplished. I am still a work in progress but guess what:
I love myself and I take care of myself. - Put yourself first always. Self-love is the best form of love.
I don't compare myself. -Comparison is the enemy. Run at your own pace.
I embrace myself. -I am a hot 30-year-old woman. Who is gonna check me and tell me otherwise?
I define my success. -Define your own.
I welcome change. -Change is growth and necessary for us to evolve.
I don't pressure myself. -No one is perfect.
I invest in myself. -You are your best investment.
I live in the moment. -Be present and live in the moment. Only your current moment is guaranteed.
I trust my Gut. -That gut feeling? Never Wrong.
I cherish the people I love. -Spend quality time with who matters the most.
I prioritize. -Choose wisely. Reduce the amount of regret you may feel in the future.
I never fail to try. -The results will come, eventually.
I don't need everyone to like me. -A friend to all is a friend to none.
I don't doubt myself. -Only you can block your blessings.
I am still trying to figure it all out.
I express my emotions.
I don't settle. -Always want more.
I develop habits. -regularly working at something until it works for you.
I am always present. -always be fully there, locked in. Presence is Power.
I am grateful. -Stop stressing, be grateful.
I don't fear. -I am going to do it anyway.
My job is not my passion. -Find something you love and cultivate it.
I walk away. -If it doesn't serve me, I don't need it.
I keep my circle small. -Protect your space always. The energy is positive.
I manifest. -Your words are powerful.
I am happy for others. -Celebrate with others, your time will come. Happiness is for everybody.
I set boundaries. -Welcome only what you want in your life. Be calm.
I don't people-please. -Pleasing everyone but yourself is added pressure.
I do ME. -Become more self-aware.
I enjoy each day.
Cheers to 30 ♥️
